Transfer News:Super Eagles defender is a transfer target for Premier league Club.

Brighton have already contacted Ajax for the Signing of Nigerian left Center-Back, Calvin Bassey. The 23yrs old Nigerian have been a solid rock in the Ajax backline after completing a move last summer from Scottish side Rangers for €22m.

The Super Eagles defender could be on the move again, as Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi wants to work with the Nigerian. Brighton are assembling their squad for the Europa league for the first time in their club history. They had one of the best season last season where they finished sixth in the premier league.

Brighton under the Italian manager Roberto De Zerbi have developed to one of the best playing team in Europe. De Zerbi have created a well defined playing style at Brighton, playing out from the Back under high pressure, therefore demanding defenders with great foot work and can play ball under pressure.

Brighton had Chelsea loanee, Levi colwill playing in that position last season and Chelsea are reluctant to sell the young English defender at any cost after their £30m bid was turned down.

Calvin Bassey is strong, fast and also have great foot work which makes him the best fit for the Brighton philosophy. He made 39 appearances for Ajax on his debut season. Ajax will not let the 23yrs old Nigerian leave that easily as they will try to recoup the money they paid for him last season.
