Liverpool to rival Chelsea for Caicedo if Fabinho and Henderson leave.
Liverpool are considering to enter into a race with Chelsea in order to get his services. Liverpool are on the verge of losing its two top midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi clubs as the players have been offered irresistible contract deals and have already given a green light for the move now waiting if the deals can proceed with the club for the move to be completed. As reported by talkSport Liverpool see Moises Caicedo as the perfect replacement for the midfield position if the two Liverpool players leave.
Chelsea have been the front runners for this deal but the deal has not yet been completed as the two clubs despite holding several meetings the asking price from Brighton is still too far from what Chelsea have tabled as a bid to get the player. Brighton value Caicedo £100M which clubs that have been linked with the player are reluctant to pay as they feel the player is overpriced which led to Arsenal leaving the race.
Klopp see Caicedo partnering again with his former teammate Mac Alister as a duo that will solve his midfield problem after the departure of Henderson and Fabinho. The Ecuadorian although has already set his mind on a move to London and accepted the verbal contract offers will have to wait now and see which club bids high for his transfer although there is no debate as Chelsea looks stronger in here and positive meetings with Brighton shows the deal might be completed soon as per Fabrizio Romano reported that payment structure are the key in this deal as Chelsea fears bleaching FFP rules due to its recent spending on transfers.
The coming weeks will be crucial for Liverpool as they must find quick replacement for Henderson and Fabinho if they leave to Saudi and rivaling Chelsea for Caicedo will be insane.
