Former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor slums Manchester United for signing Mason Mount.
Mason Mount completed a €65m move to United from boyhood club Chelsea this summer. Mount was in Chelsea books for 18yrs, where he rose through the academy ranks to the first team winning the champions league two years ago.
Former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor has slummed United for signing Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer. Speaking to Sun football Agbonlahor was quoted saying this;
“he doesn’t even make the Bench mate. He is the last sub on the Bench. Mason is nowhere near making that team, nowhere near…….. “
Mason Mount has made 5 appearances for United in the preseason scoring zero goals while assisting none.If United signs Amrabat from fiorlentina, Mason Mount will have to compete a place with the new club Captain Bruno Fernandes, as Erik love to partner two pivot defensive midfielder that will be Casemiro and Amrabat.
Mason Mount can also play on the flanks but considering the rise of Jadon Sancho in the preseason games Mount will find it rough to make the first eleven on Ten Hag’s team.Mason Mount have great potential and he is hardworking,once he settles in he will prove himself in this United team.
