Arsenal new signing to be sidelined out for months due to injury.
Jurrien Timber tore his ACL against Nottingham Forest at the weekend and is set to be out for months.
Jurrien Timber sustained a knock on his knee, after making a hard challenge on Nottingham Forest striker Ben Johnson which seemed to be fine as he received medical attention and was back on the pitch. After the halftime break the Dutch defender was unable to continue and had to be replaced barely five minutes into the second half.
Its seemed to be a minor injury as Mikel Arteta stated it during the post match interview,but today Jurrien Timber underwent more test and it was revieled, that he tore his ACL and will be out for more than three months.
The match against Nottingham forest at the Emirates,was Timber’s premier league debut for the Gunners.Jurrien Timber completed a permanent move from Ajax this summer for a £50m fee.
Mikel Arteta had Timber in his plans for this season,as Timber was heavily deployed on left side of Arsenal defence, displacing the ever present Gabriel.
Arteta have Gabriel and January signing Jacob Kiwoir on his disposal to replace the injured Timber.Edu and Arteta will not venture the transfer market for a new defender.
