Three Premier League Managers likely to be sacked before December.
The 2023/24 Premier league season commenced on August 1.
The Premier League is growing stronger every season with English clubs investing heavily on their squads. Premier League clubs have spent over £1billion on transfer fees to strengthen their squads. Premier League clubs have the best coaches on their ranks, obligated to deliver success considering the expensive talents under their disposal.
Premier league clubs and fans are always demanding for success, with the managers leading the clubs under constant pressure to deliver. Failure or underachievement leads to Managers losing their job.Here are the Likely Managers to be sacked after a poor start to the new season;
Sean Dyche, Everton.
Sean Dyche joined Everton in Jan 2023 on a two and a half year contract replacing Frank Lampard. Sean Dyche helped Everton survive relegation when they defeated Bournemouth in the last game of the season. Everton were poor in the transfer market, and that can be reflected in the premier league results.
Everton started the season with a 1-0 loses to Fulham at home,despite having numerous chance to score. Everton were thrashed 4-0 by Aston Villa in the second game of the season.
Sean Dyche have always played a defensive counter attacking football through out his coaching career, but the system seems not to be working. Everton are the only team in the Premier this season that haven’t scored a goal.
Gary O’Neil, Wolves
Wolves appointed Gary O’Neil as the replacement of Julen Lopetegui who left Wolves this Summer. Its Gary first season as a premier league manager on Permanent basis. O’Neil first job as a premier league manager was last season when he was picked as caretaker manager after Parker dismissal at Bournemouth.
O’Neil helped Bournemouth avoid relegation last season after a perfect 2023 which saw them win six premier league matches. Despite the achievement, Bournemouth dismissed O’Neil and appointed former Rayo Vallecano manager Andoni Irola.
Wolves started the new season on a wrong foot after losing 1-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford despite overwhelming performance. Wolves were thrashed 4-1 by Roberto Dezerbi side Brighton on the second game of the season.
Wolves goalscoring problem continues, with Raul Jimenez and Diego Costa both leaving the club this summer youngster Fabio have been tasked to score the goals for wolves this season for wolves after a productive loan spell with PSV Edhovenn. Despite playing good attractive football O’Neil will have to figure out how to score the goals and save his job at wolves.
Paul Heckingbottom, Sheffield United
After first team Manager Chris Wilder left the club by mutual consent in March 2021, Heckingbottom took over as the interim manager until the end of the season. Sheffield United finished bottom of the table that season and were relegated to Championship.On 25 November 2021 Heckingbottom was appointed Sheffield United Manager on permanent basis on a four and a half years deal.After a successful season in the championship Sheffield were promoted back to the premier league Under Heckingbottom.
Sheffield United the season with a narrow defeat by Crystal Palace. Nottingham Forest beat Sheffield United by 2-1 on the second match of the season.
Sheffield United added a few profiles to their squad,but lost their star player Ilman Ndiaye who completed a permanent move to Olympic Marseille this summer.
