West Ham reach an agreement to sign Kudus from Ajax.
West Ham and Ajax have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ghanaian midfielder Mohamed Kudus at a reported fee of €45M in total package where Ajax will also retain a sell on clause in the deal in the future sales. A verbal agreement has been reached and expected to be signed in the next 48 hours. The player will sign a contract which is supposed to last until June 2028. Medical tests will be done tomorrow on Saturday. The move has been faced by challenges but thanks to new director Tim Steidten for his convincing act to ease the move.
Mohamed kudus was an admirer of the Premier league and he admitted it yesterday after the Europa league qualification match that it was his last match in Ajax shirt and a move to West Ham was possible. The player had been linked with a move to Chelsea but Chelsea snubbed the interests and decided to explore more options and this led the player’s dream to play for a bigger club in premier league collapse as he had been reluctant to agree terms with Brighton although the club had a secret agreement with Ajax to sign the player.
The player will now head to London after no signs of an offer from a bigger club to sign him and Ajax were also desperate to sell him.
