Manchester United make contacts for Cucurella over possible loan move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United have made a shocking move by enquiring on the situation of the player’s side as they prepare for a season long loan deal for Chelsea left back Marc Cucurella. Manchester United are in need of a player who will fill in the void left by Luke Shaw who sustained a muscle injury and has been sidelined to be out for six weeks before his return as the club confirmed. Manchester have two more options apart from Cucurella and they will not jump in into any deal because they want to do a smart one and a preferred one to quickly fit in Ten Hag’s project.
Marc cucurella has failed to impress at Chelsea since his £62M move from Brighton as he made 27 appearances last season failing to score a single goal while making two assists only across all competitions. Due to return of a fit Chilwell and Levi Colwill, Cucurella is now seen as a third choice in a left back position regardless he can play as a centre back or as a left back. Despite contacts by Manchester United, the club believe the deal will be difficult to negotiate with Chelsea due to fee that might be asked by Chelsea.
Manchester United are also exploring a possible deal for Sergio Regullion from Tottenham as a possible replacement for injured Luke Shaw.
