Chelsea handed a transfer boost as Palmer is open for a move to the Bridge.
Chelsea are set to open talks with Manchester City in order to sign Cole Palmer. Chelsea held a meeting yesterday at Cobham on which offensive player they should add on in the squad before the transfer window shuts down and one of the names in the shortlist that has come clear is the 21 year old English man who plays for Manchester City, Cole Palmer. Several names has been discussed including a chance to sign Ansu Fati but right now it seems the main target will be Cole Palmer.
Cole Palmer has already given a green light that he is open to move to Chelsea and it’s now up to the clubs to make contacts for the deal. Manchester City on their side they are clear if a right offer arrives they will let the youngster leave the club. This pursuit of Palmer to Chelsea is believed to have been brought up by Joe Shields in yesterday’s meeting. The move was also given a thumbs up by Mauricio Pochettino and this will make Chelsea try to act quickly on the deal with the Premier league champions.
The debate for a possible move for Palmer has heated up among Chelsea fans and also pundits speculating this move asking whether the English man is better off than Angelo Gabriel who was signed by Chelsea to play the same position and later loaned to Strasbourg but the answer is Chelsea need a premier league player proven in that position. Chelsea still have few more players to explore before making final move.
