Dimitar Berbatov predicted Manchester United or Chelsea to win the 2023/24 Premier league season.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov, had predicted either of Manchester United or Chelsea to win the 2023/24 Premier League. Dimitar Berbatov was confident his former side with the addition of summer signings like Mason Mount and striker Højlund, will transform United to titles contenders and trouble Manchester City this season.

Chelsea on the other side were the biggest spenders in the transfer market bringing in young talented players. Berbatov who is aware of Mauricio Pochettino reputation of turning young talented players into Superstars like he did during his spell at Tottenham,was confident Mauricio Pochettino was the right man to lead the new era at Chelsea and win this season premier league title.

Contrary to what Dimitar Berbatov predicted, United have recorded their worst premier league start in over a decade losing their first three premier league matches and recording just 6 points from the possible 15. Manchester United looks worse than they were last season and great pressure is mounting on Erik Ten Hag to turns things around at United.

Chelsea on the other hand started the season on a high note,where they outplayed Liverpool at Stamford Bridge and were unlucky to just get a point. Their progress was soon slowed down when they lost to Westham United despite great display. Mauricio Pochettino side recorded their first win of the season when they beat newly promoted Luton town 3 nil at Stamford Bridge. Mauricio Pochettino young side are yet to jell as a team considering many are new to the team and also many injuries to first team players. Mauricio Pochettino have more work to do to solve the goalscoring issues as they have only scored five goals in five matches.
