Tata Martino denies rumours linking Lionel Messi to Barcelona on loan.

Lionel Messi will be on a four months holiday after the end of MLS season.

Inter Miami head coach Tata Martino has addressed about the circulating news linking World cup Champion Lionel Messi to rejoin his former club Barcelona on loan. The coach denied the rumored links stating that he doesn’t know anything therefore claiming the links as untrue.

The Major League Soccer is currently on a break and it will resume late February next year. The teams that failed to make to the play offs will definitely have four months holiday.

Inter Miami, the club Lionel Messi is currently signed to for two years didn’t qualify for the play offs after failing to win their last important games when Messi was absent due to fatigue and injury worries, will be out of action until next year on February. This absence of Inter Miami playing for four months caused speculations that it’s a long period for the Barcelona and Argentina legend to be out and a loan move to Barcelona would suit him in order for his career not to be in a stand still as his supporters also want him to catch up with his all time rival and all time top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo in the goal scoring tally.

Messi have had a great start in the Major League Soccer scoring 13 goals and five assist in 14 appearance for the club. The player has also spoken about his future that his contract will not extend past 2025 at Inter Miami and he will be heading to his boyhood club Newell boys. The player has also made it clear that his career may end soon probably after the 2026 world cup quoting that he has achieved everything in football and he is now playing for the love of the game.

Messi currently is on the head to head ties with the Manchester City striker Erling Haaland on who will win the 2023 Ballon d’or award despite him not playing in Europe.
