Inside the man’s NRL obsession as the ardent Roosters fan is revealed to be the man accused of following Newcastle Knights star Andrew Johns.
The man who is charged with stalking NRL icon Andrew Johns is an enormous admirer of the Sydney Roosters.
Blake Moses, who does not have a firm residence, is the person who is suspected of stalking the former Newcastle Knights halfback over the Easter long weekend, according to Daily Mail Australia.
Moses, 27, savors the chance to snap a picture with his sports idols. Moses is a native of Vaucluse, in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
‘Spotted a chook in Byron,’ he wrote in the caption of a 2020 social media post featuring himself and Joey Manu, a prominent player for the Roosters.
In another 2018 social media post, Moses is seen with former NRL stars Willie Mason and Chris Walker.
Moses, a passionate surfer, attended Rose Bay Secondary College and is well-known for frequenting the beaches at Bondi and Bronte. He graduated in 2015.
Johns, 49, is said to have followed the footy icon into the water and looked at Moses when they first met on March 29 during a surfing session in Bronte.
Johns claimed to have seen the same man pacing the sidewalk outside his house after getting back home.
Moses allegedly revisited Johns at a nearby cafe the next day and once more gave him a lengthy, intense stare.
Following a police complaint from Johns, Moses was taken into custody on March 31 and accused with stalking.
Moses was given bail when he appeared at Parramatta Local Court on April 1.
But according to reports, when police investigated the Bondi location Moses provided them as part of his bail requirements, they found the house is not real. Moses was apprehended by police at 9:50 a.m. the next day after he had violated his bail terms.
