A dark, pandemic-era thriller mixing mental drama, live speculative music, and the haunting spirit of Edgar Allan Poe.
Los Angeles, CA, USA|July 30, 2025–[Press Release Wire]– Prepare to be haunted in an entire brand-new method. This fall, well-known playwright Prophecy Kaine reveals The Heart Tells Talesa gripping, genre-defying adjustment motivated by Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart. Set versus the spooky silence of pandemic-era Boston, the play attempts to look much deeper into the mental toll of caregiving, seclusion, and reduced injury.
The Heart Tells Tales is the 2nd chapter in Kaine’s visionary Through the Altered Lens Trilogy— and this installation does not keep back. The story starts when next-door neighbors of a revered, old-school artist report bloodcurdling screams. Authorities find a terrible criminal activity scene– what seems domestic violence. This is no marital disagreement: the offender is a young caretaker who admits to killing the older artist in his care. While the case appears open and shut, something does not rather build up. The fact, like Poe’s initial tale, might be more twisted than anybody can picture.
Mixing gritty storytelling with live initial music, the production includes an electrifying rating by The Clandestine Circle Quinteta speculative Los Angeles-based group whose sound merges hip hop, rock, and jazz. The music does not simply highlight the story– it enters into its pulse, magnifying the thriller as the plot unfolds.
