Zheng Qinwen has emerged as the leader in aces for the 2024 WTA Tour, solidifying her position as one of the most powerful servers in women’s tennis. She delivered an impressive 445 aces this season, significantly outpacing second-place Elena Rybakina, who had 358 aces. Zheng’s average of 6.54 aces per match reflects her remarkable serving precision, particularly in indoor conditions where she thrives. This achievement is part of a stellar season for the 22-year-old, which includes her first Grand Slam final appearance at the Australian Open, a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, and three WTA titles, including the Tokyo Open.

Rybakina, despite a shorter season due to injuries and other challenges, managed an average of 6.75 aces per match, highlighting her consistency when healthy. However, she couldn’t match Zheng’s total, given her limited number of tournaments.

Zheng’s dominance with her serve was a critical factor in her success throughout the year, setting her apart as a rising star on the tour. Her achievements signal her potential to become a consistent contender at the highest levels of women’s tennis.
