Aubameyang has completed his move to Marseille on a free transfer.
Pierre-Emirick Aubameyang after completing his medicals today he is set to join the French side Olympic de Marseille after Chelsea agreed to give up on his £5M fee and terminate his contract where the player had on twelve months left on his contract and let him join Marseille for free as the new coach had given a green light on the player to be sold and the player himself wanted to revive his dying career as he didn’t have a good spell at Chelsea managing to score only 4 goals in 17 appearances the signs became clear he was no longer in the clubs plans as they signed two more strikers which definitely would limit his playing time and he wanted to be out of the club.
Chelsea will sign the contract termination form which will allow the player to move. Chelsea had tried to sell the player to the Saudi clubs and bids were sent for the player as well as holding negotiations but the player was not interested to join the Saudi clubs as he was clear he wanted to continue his career in Europe and he has even taken a huge sacrifice to lower his salary demands to facilitate his move to Marseille where he was offered a contract of three years by the club. The deal is done and the player will leave to France and an official announcement will follow from the clubs.
