Big boost for Chelsea as they sign a replacement for injured Wes Fofana.
Chelsea have reacted quickly in the concerns of Wes Fofana injury by signing French defender Axel Disasi who plays for Monaco after reaching an agreement with the French club to sign the defender at €45M. The 25 year old has been signed as a right centre back option for Fofana who suffered a knee injury and is out unknown period. The player is set to sign a five year contract with an option to extend another one year. Arsenal and Manchester United had been tracking the player for while but Chelsea only tracked him for two months and have moved on to sign him.
Axel Disasi is a smart move for Chelsea as the player is strong and can play as a right back and central positions in the defence. The player is also blossomed in leadership roles as he was a captain at Monaco and it will boost Chelsea to balance the squad in leadership and cut off the worries of the young Chelsea squad which was feared to be unexperienced. The defender will build a strong partnership with his former teammate Badiashile and Pochettino had shown interests with the player’s quality in the field.
The signing of Disasi has now kept Chalobah’s future at stake as it means the player must leave and sources had reported that Inter Milan are front runners.
