Chelsea have identified 19yrs old Ivorian defender as Thiago Silva replacement.

Chelsea will have to pay around £45m to land the Ivory coast defender.

Chelsea will be in the market for a center defender in the summer,as they try to find a suitable replacement for the ageing Thiago Silva. Thiago Silva who earlier in the week, discussed about a possible move to a final club before retirement, seems certain to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The Blues have identified Ivorian 19yrs old defender, Ousmane Diomande, as the possible replacement for Thiago Silva. Chelsea have really invested on young untested talent in the recent transfers and Diomande really suit their project.

Chelsea Will have to pay around £45m to acquire the services of the 19yrs old Ivorian defender. Arsenal are also interested to sign Diomande and will face off Chelsea in the summer for his signature.

The rise of Ousmane Diomande.

Four years ago Ousmane Diomande was playing his youth football in Ivory Coast club,Olympic sport Abobo, until January 2020 when he joined Midtjyland academy aged 16yrs.

Two years later, in 2022 Ousmane Diomande joined Portuguese club Mafra on a season long loan from Midtjyland.

Ousmane Diomande produced impressive performances with Mafra,and his loan was cut short halfway through the season and he was transferred to Primera Liga side Sporting CP in January transfer window for a fee worth €7.5m, signing a contract valid until 2027.

Ousmane Made 13 appearances for Sporting in the second leg of the league.He already has 9 appearances this season scoring onces.

After great display with Sporting, Ousmane was handed his first call up and made his debut for the Elephants in September. He will be an integral member of the Ivorian National team that will be trying to win the Afcon in home soil in January. Ivory Coast will be hosting Afcon 2023 in January.
