Chelsea have signed Rennes midfielder as they eye Caicedo alternative.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Lesley Uguchukwu after Chelsea contacted and held talks with Rennes regarding a possible move as reported by France media L’Equipe.The 2004 born midfielder has already agreed a move to Chelsea and the two clubs have already agreed a transfer fee worth £23.5M and medical set to happen in the next 24 hrs as reported by AthleticFC. The talented midfielder may however be loaned to Strasbourg but it’s an option for the player as the signing of Caicedo will determine the future.

Chelsea are yet to sign Moises Caicedo as the fee being asked is high and after seeing four bids rejected they are set to return with a final bid or else look for another alternative which they are monitoring Romeo Lavia situation at Southampton and are waiting to see how Liverpool will react in the coming days and then they will enter the race as the player is only available on £50M. Chelsea although have not given up on Caicedo they will only go for this alternative if they fail to land on Caicedo.
