Lazio and Al-hilal have reached an agreement to sign Serbian Midfielder Milinkovic Savic.
Lazio and Al-hilal have reached an agreement to sign serbian midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic Savic, for a €40m transfer fee. Milinkovic Savic have also agreed personal terms with Al-hilal, for a three year contract which will see the Serbian earn €25m annually.
He becomes the third signing for Saudi Arabia outfits Al-hilal, who have signed Ruben Never from wolves and Koulibaly from Chelsea.
The 28yrs old Serbian Midfielder joined Lazio from Belgian side Genk, in 2015.He have been a consistent performer for the Italian side ever since. He have always been linked to a move away from Lazio every season, but his high transfer fee have always kept admirers away. Savic made 267 appearances for Lazio across all Competition scoring 57 goals in the process.
Confirming the move of the Serbian international Lazio President Lotito, had this to say regarding the player;“If a player wants to go to the Arabian peninsula, this is only for the sake of Money. I was ready to keep him and renew his contract, but Savic begged me and called me so that he could leave. When someone wants to leave you, what can you do……. ”
Paperwork will be completed this week, as Savic will be allowed to have his medicals.
