Ian Maatsen in ‘contract troubles’ with Chelsea.
Chelsea academy graduate, Ian Maatsen is currently in a warring position with Chelsea Football Club. The young Dutch is reluctant to sign a new contract deal with Chelsea which will see him extending his stay at the club for six more years.
The club has already issued a warning to him as it’s trying to find a solution for his future. The club has stated that he must sign the contract otherwise he will have to leave the club in January or the next summer for him to have his desired opportunity elsewhere. This is per reports by Fabrizio Romano.
This heated relationship started in the last days of this summer window where Burnley requested for the player on second time loan but the player was reluctant to leave despite the club trying to convince him and the player even made it clear by contacting Burnley head coach that he is not willing to join them.
Pochettino has shown a lot of desire to work with him but Chelsea are now putting pressure on the youngster to sign a contract extension to facilitate his fully inclusion to the Chelsea project.
