Marseille are closing in on signing Aubameyang.
Marseille have have increased their interests in signing Chelsea striker Pierre-Emirick Aubameyang as they have set to hold new talks with Chelsea in order to reach an agreement on the fee to sign the player on permanent basis. The talks are advancing but there is no full agreement as per now between the two clubs. The club believe they will sign the Chelsea want away as the club is clear on the player that he is open to leave as the new coach project doesn’t fit him.
The Gabon international was given additional days by Chelsea for his future to be resolved and if not resolved he would be required to return to the club for preseason. Chelsea besides holding talks with Marseille they are still in talks with Saudi clubs but the deal with Saudi clubs has been delayed as the player currently doesn’t consider a move to Saudi. This has made the French club to fasten it’s talks to try to get the player before Saudi clubs can raid again with higher bids and contract offers.
Aubameyang is willing to lower his salary from his current £170k a week earning in order to continue his football career in Europe. The player also has not found a welcoming environment at Chelsea as he has only recorded 4 goals in over 17 appearances and he badly wants his move out of the club after his Barca transfer links collapsed due to financial issues facing the club.
There is positivity for the deal to be reached as the player is valued £8M as the squad clear out continues in Chelsea.
