Monday round up: Chelsea latest team news and transfers.
Chelsea have been active in the last two days regarding transfers as Mauricio Pochettino believes he is not yet satisfied with the squad and wants to see four more additions to the squad before the transfer window shuts down and reinforce the squad in preparation for the new season. As per multiple verified sources here is the breakdown of today’s Chelsea news.
Chelsea are working on presenting a bid to Crystal Palace left winger Michael Olise. Palace have not been happy with Chelsea’s approach for Olise and lately they are reluctant to provide the player’s injury news to Chelsea in order to delay the move despite the player having a £35M release clause. Crystal Palace in return wants Lewis Hall on loan for the deal to happen.
Other news as reported by Fabrizio Romano is that after Chelsea approached Tyler Adams camp last week they are preparing to open talks with the club in the next days over the deal after being informed on his £20M relegation clause. Another midfield option target is Leandro Paredes who is highly rated by Pochettino and he has given green light to Chelsea to sign the PSG star and reunite with him at Chelsea. All these midfield deals are separate from the Caicedo deal as he remains the top midfield priority.
Lastly, Chelsea and Juventus are set to hold new round of talks to discuss and try to finalise Vlahovic and Lukaku swap deal. Juventus insist on Chelsea to add €40M on top of the deal but Pochettino will be crucial on this to decide whether he appreciates Vlahovic or not for the deal to continue.
