As per reports from inside Chelsea sources key things have happened today where the club has even given verdict on injury updates. Other news that continue to get concrete are transfer links for Brentford striker Ivan Toney. Here are today’s Chelsea headline news.

Levi Colwill

There was an injury scare on Chelsea defender Levi Colwill after their defeat match against Nottingham Forest which forced the player to be substituted. In today’s medical assessment it has been confirmed by the club the player is fine and it’s a big news for himself as he recently received his first senior England call up and he could feature.

Reece James.

Chelsea are hopefull that Reece James will be back after the international break. The predicted dates were that the captain will return in the game against AFC Bournemouth. As per report today although the player will be back, the club is still in doubts on the player and hope not to rush his return until the player is ok to avoid setbacks.

Benoit Badiashile.

The French international is still a doubt whether he will return after the international break. The defender sustained a hamstring injury before the preseason started. The player has already returned to training and the club is cautious on rushing his return. It’s predicted that the player will be fully back next month.

Romeo Lavia.

The new signing hasn’t made his Chelsea debut yet despite being on training sessions. The player is believed to be in a reconditioning period which Pochettino said it will last several weeks and this gives him a doubt of returning after the international period.

Ivan Toney.

According to Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea are still considering Brentford striker Toney for a potential January move. During this window Chelsea had a consideration of signing a striker but opted to invest the £42.5M on Cole Palmer who plays as a ten or a left winger.
