Mudryk evolution and player ratings as Jackson shines in Chelsea win over Brighton.
Mauricio Pochettino side secured a win over Brighton in on going summer series friendly in USA. The Seagulls were the first to strike in early minutes in half-time but Nkunku leveled it before half time and later following the goals of Mudryk, Gallagher and Jackson to seal a win for the Blues as Brighton got two more back to end the score sheet as 4-3.
Several players impressed throughout the game who helped Chelsea seal the win. Malo Gusto, the new right back showed his class to be ready to battle against Reece James number and also be a replacement to him as James has had several injuries. This is an assurance for that position. Silva and Colwill partnership worked well and we could start seeing it as the main back line defense in next season. In the midfield the kids should not be relied so much as it was witnessed some need to go on loan for more exposure. Looking at Casadei, he is a player who will struggle without a good defensive midfielder besides him and also on Santos he needs to work more although he made some encouraging tackles. Gallagher is the man to play with if Chelsea miss Caicedo and credit to Enzo as he was top on the minutes he played.
When looking at the forward position Mudryk seems to be getting his form and ready to wear the blue shirt next season. The player’s speed will be a threat to defenders as his pace stretches opposition in the wing and create chances. Nkunku again showed his class as he bagged another goal in his second game averaging a goal in every 45 minutes. Sterling is also another man to talk about has got to improve on his final third passes and work on his technical skills. Looking at Jackson, the guy looks promising and a £30M bargain is really the best transfer for Chelsea currently as the man has already 3 assists and 1 goal. The guy can hold the ball he can press and also he is a killer in front of a goal post. The player also has some speed, Jackson was voted as the man of the match.
Finally Pochettino has improved the squad as it is more lethal than last season as pressing is now 100% better than last season but there is still a problem in building the ball from the back as there is low confidence.
