Reece has been playing for Chelsea since the age of six and has risen through the clubs youth ranks up to the senior team. Reece Lewis James was born in 8 December 1999 in Redbridge, Greater London. He is the second born child among the four children; Joshua, Lauren and Chanelle. His parents Nigel James is of Jamaican descent and his mother Emma James is from England.

Nigel James who is the dad to Reece was a footballer and a certified coach and he is the main man behind the success of Reece and Lauren as professional footballers as he not only played a dad role but also as a coach.
