Reece James falls under FA charges for alleged improper/abusive language.
Chelsea captain Reece James has been charged by the English Football Association after breaching FA rule E3.
The defender found himself in trouble following Chelsea’s defeat at Stamford Bridge by Aston Villa where the skipper who didn’t feature in that match day squad accompanied the referee to the tunnel and used abusive language towards the referee as he felt unsatisfied with the referee decision in the match.
This behaviour towards the match official was not taken lightly by the FA and today they have released a statement where the FA spokesman outlined the breach conducted and the player has been given until Friday 29 this month to provide a response to this charge. The FA statement from spokesman stated this. “Reece James has been charged with a breach of FA rule E3 following Chelsea’s premier league game against Aston Villa. It’s alleged the player used improper or insulting words to a match official.
