Chelsea’s spending have kept other premier league teams in question as they are about to hit a £1Billion figures in transfer spending in just three transfer windows since the new take over and also their latest transfer sales to Saudi. Liverpool has been the latest club to put a question mark on Chelsea after its owners flew to Premier league headquarters to clarify this as they don’t believe how it’s possible to spend over £800M in just three windows. They wanted a clarification if Chelsea are being monitored at their spending as they believe the figures they have spent can’t comply with Premier league rules.

Chelsea’s sale of players to Saudi was also put in question by rivals as they believed Chelsea are trying to get away with bleaching FFP rules as Todd Boehly is associated with the BlueCo which they believe was associated with these transfers. Later in the mid of this year Chelsea was fined €10M which they agreed to pay as it was a fine which was from the findings of previous regime which was also under investigation on bleaching FFP rules. Chelsea new regime replied by they will comply with the rule but rivals can’t believe Chelsea are on the right radar off the FFP rules.

The unanswered question is how Chelsea are complying with FFP and PL rules is that all people’s concentration is on Chelsea’s incoming players but they forget and ignore Chelsea’s departures which is player sales and the balance is clear as since 2013 up to now Chelsea have made sales worth £1.2 Billion. Also the other thing that has aided Chelsea to comply is the contract length offered to players which is spreading the cost of transfer across the contract length to prevent significant single year expenditure.

This loop hole exploitation however has not kept Chelsea safe as still the UEFA and PL are keeping a close eye on Chelsea.
