The race to sign Greenwood heats up as several European and Saudi clubs makes contact.
Mason Greenwood could see himself reviving his career away from England. This is after Manchester United released a club statement regarding his sexual assaults on his partner back in 2022 which saw the player being temporarily left out by Manchester United in order the investigations to be carried. After the investigations early this year the player was proven not to be guilty of the assaults and there after the club decided to do out its decision making to decide on the players future and came out with a decision to part ways with the player which largely was influenced by public opinion as there were several protests by women side who supports the club so the club was determined to protect its heritage and also put a good image on fighting gender based violence. Greenwood accepted the decision and his last words for the club were that he will not stress the club.
The career of the young England international is now on the player to make decision on his next destination after Saudi clubs have shown interests on signing the player after offering him a lucrative deal. One of the club linked with the player is El Ittifaq which is being managed by Steven Gerald and has already offered a £10M annual salary to the player. Al Nassr are also lightly considering the move but no contacts yet. Another club considered to be in line to sign the player is Italian club As Roma which are also looking him as an option to strengthen its forward. More clubs are weighing up the move but they are still intrigued on making a decision which will not cause a negative move from the fans.
