Josh Seary has completed a move to FC United of Manchester after seeing his contract at Preston North End expire.
The Northern Premier League side, founded in 2005 as a response to the Glazer ownership of Manchester United, announced the signing this week.
Seary is a product of PNE’s academy, having first joined the club at youth level before agreeing a professional deal at the age of 16.
After a loan spell at Warrington Town during the 2022-23 season where he was a first team regular, he made his first-team debut in August 2023, in a Carabao Cup tie versus Salford City.
Six months later, he made his league debut as a substitute in an away win over Coventry City, before he signed an 18-month extension.
Later that year, Seary headed out on loan to Larne of the Irish Premiership, However, in the first few weeks of his loan spell, the full back suffered a long-term knee injury.
He signed a further six-month extension in the spring as he continued his recovery, but now his exit has been confirmed. In total, Seary made five senior appearances for PNE.
