The FIFA calendar has once again hit the ongoing leagues in the world to allow for various qualifications of different tournaments which will kick start in 2024. The break has already commenced and it will last for two weeks and the leagues will resume again.

Looking at the Premier league most of the players playing for top six clubs have been called up for international duties. Chelsea being one of them, the head coach Mauricio Pochettino has vowed to the players who didn’t receive an international call up duty that this period will be the perfect one to regroup and keep a focus on the upcoming fixtures and maintain their back to back wins.

Mauricio Pochettino: “We’re going to spend the two weeks working at the training ground. To improve players, try and recover those who are injured. We are pushing hard to be better. The mood is different.”

Pochettino also revealed that this is the period to try and improve players that have been on injury and are expected to return after the international break. The players being on the radar to return are James, Chalobah and Chukwuemeka. Pochettino believes Chelsea are currently picking up momentum and to keep this track going he will have to do more as a manager. Chelsea will face Arsenal at Stamford Bridge who are joint league leaders together with Tottenham after the international break.
