7You Deputy Editor reveals the 10 must-have items she’s adding to cart this week

I can already tell that this summer is going to be a great one.

With plenty of plans already in the diary, I’ve been using this downtime to prepare my home, wardrobe and swimwear drawer before the busy season officially starts.

To fit the brief, the items I’m shopping for this month need to be easy and effortless, allowing me to add to my existing wardrobe, shelves and cabinets.

Lately, I’ve come across some gorgeous finds, including a chic new dining collection that’s perfect for hosting, a summer dress I can see myself wearing on repeat, and a few everyday essentials that are as practical as they are stylish.

My shopping list wouldn’t be complete without something for Soju, a pair of thongs for beach days, plus tailored clothing that makes getting dressed for work feel that little bit easier.

With warmer days on the horizon, these are the ten pieces currently sitting at the top of my wishlist — a few of which I’ve already got my hands on.

Hommey Dining Range, from $25

Ever since I popped into Hommey’s Paddington store in Sydney, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the gorgeous new dining collection.

It’s a smart move from the brand, which is loved for its gorgeous colourways and signature stripe, bringing the same chic style to our kitchens.

Just in time for the warmer months, when hosting friends and family is inevitable, I’m adding more than one item to my cart.

Top of the list? The gorgeous pasta bowls and matching side plates in a classic espresso and Capri blue colourway.

Shoppers can also use the Dining Set Bundle to mix and match their tablescape.

Kivari Enzo Midi Dress, $329

I think I’ve just found the perfect summer dress.

Hidden in Kivari’s latest summer drop is this beautiful throw-on midi dress in a subtle but striking print.

Perfect for long lunches in the sun and spontaneous summer plans, you could pair it with almost any accessories — or even go barefoot on the sand.

It features a flattering square neckline and a soft linen blend, plus adjustable straps so you can tailor the fit to your liking.

Runpup Hands-Free Leash, $39

When I’m not busy adding fashion, beauty and homewares to my cart, I’m searching for things for my Cocker Spaniel, Soju.

Back in his early puppy days, I got my hands on a highly-rated leash from Runpup, an Aussie-made brand known for its stylish pet apparel.

Now that he’s a bit older, hands-free leashes are even more handy for casual strolls, as they allow me to hold a coffee cup while juggling my phone and keys at the same time.

Runpup recently launched a gorgeous burgundy leash and matching poop bag, and I’m feeling pretty lucky to have got my hands on them, considering the leashes are selling like hot cakes.

DISSH Maison Mineral Ramie Bias Maxi Skirt, $159.99

Whenever I find myself staring into my wardrobe, wondering what to wear, I always end up pulling out a matching set.

While double denim and tailoring are my go-to choices for the office, I’ve noticed lots of sheer sets popping up in Aussies’ favourite stores, including DISSH.

This flattering bias maxi skirt immediately caught my eye, especially in the light blue colourway.

I’m often at a loss as to what to wear to afternoon drinks with the girls on the weekend, and I think this skirt, paired with its matching top, could be just the answer.

KeepCup Commuter Insulated Travel Cup, $44

Chocolate brown and burgundy are well and truly in my colour palette, and these shades extend beyond just my wardrobe.

I’ve found myself adding them to my kitchen, from Tupperware to coffee cups for my commutes to the office.

The latest addition to my shelves is KeepCup’s Travel Cup, a stylish and practical leakproof design that keeps all kinds of hot drinks warm thanks to its vacuum-insulated stainless steel construction.

I’m officially obsessed with the newly launched mulberry colourway.

Bokumaia Swimwear, from $90

In the spirit of summer, I’ve given my swimwear drawer a much-needed refresh, throwing away faded, stretched styles that have seen better days.

As I was gearing up to replace them, I came across a beautiful Aussie-designed brand specialising in one-pieces and bikinis for fuller cups.

Bokumaia is every bit as luxe as it looks online, with gorgeous prints, colours and cuts that flatter all body shapes.

I went for the Olah String Bikini and matching tie bottoms to see me through summer. Chef’s kiss.

Crocs Miami Square Flip, $54.99

Come warmer weather, I mostly wear thongs and sandals on the weekends, whether I’m heading to the beach or back home.

This summer, though, I’m swapping out my dated Havaianas for a pair of Crocs — specifically a style with a square toe.

Just like the classic clogs, this pair of thongs is super comfortable, with just the right amount of support to keep me on my feet for hours at a time.

Waterproof and sandproof, the Cocoa Crème pair is going to be my constant companion for the next four months.

Meshki Phoebe Blazer, $249

It’s no secret that putting on a suit in the morning gives you the ultimate confidence boost.

An oversized blazer and matching trousers (or a pair of shorts) make for an easy 9-to-5 outfit, especially when tailored to perfection with boxy shoulders and a relaxed fit.

Whenever I’m on the hunt for a new addition to my wardrobe, Meshki is the first place I look, so it was no surprise that I stumbled across the Phoebe blazer.

Known for its signature styles that empower women, the brand has partnered with Dress for Success as part of its For The Woman campaign, supporting 150 women through styling and career services.

Thanks to the partnership, women across Australia can access in-person styling and one-to-one career guidance, including help updating their CVs, preparing for interviews and developing their personal brands.

Biotyspa Face Sculpting Kit, $95

I recently stepped out of a luxurious facial at SELF by The Parlour Room looking particularly sculpted, and it was all thanks to Biotyspa.

The brand recently launched a new kit, so you can achieve the same results at-home as you would after stepping out of a treatment room.

Biotyspa’s kit features a 100 per cent quartz Face Gua Sha and Firming Face Oil to visibly lift, contour and tone the skin.

There are even expert-led, guided massage techniques from founder and lymphatic expert Deborah Levy, who says the kit is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin (like mine).

Bon Maxie Large Structured Tote Bag, $299

Having an organised work bag is a must during busy weeks in the office.

I recently spied this popular structured tote from Bon Maxie, which has sold over 47,000 units.

It has everything you could possibly need to keep your items neat and organised, including a zipped top, comfy straps, a 16-inch laptop sleeve, a key clip, a drink bottle holder, a phone pocket, extra pockets, a travel strap and a crossbody strap.

Plus, it has a water-resistant lining and a wipeable outer, so if anything spills or it gets dirty on your commute, you can easily bring it back to life.

I think it’s well worth the price tag.
