analysis

Following a blowout loss in Week 5, the Chicago Bears are 3-2 and connected for last location in the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.

For this Bears’ offense, there are lots of enigma to walk around. The running video game is working, however there is a great deal of doubt about the passing offense up until now. For Week 6, Caleb Williams may lastly be back.

As Kevin Fishabin of The Athletic reports, Ben Johnson exposed there is a great deal of unpredictability about the QB position for Chicago leading up to Week 6. They might go back to Williams, or there may even be a modification in shop with Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum for this upcoming week’s match.

“Bears head coach Ben Johnson said no determination has been made as to which quarterback will take the first snaps Wednesday at practice,” Fishbain reports. “Asked if Bagent is still the next man up if Caleb is out, Johnson said, ‘I think we have three guys that can win games in this league.'”

Now, while that response from Johnson may not look like much, his non-committal to Bagent must show that there’s, at least, a genuine possibility that Bagent is not the Week 6 starter, and not since Williams is back.

Bagent may be the most likely Week 6 starter for the Atlanta Falcons match, however it appears there’s a non-zero possibility that Keenum is called the starter today, with the battles from Bagent versus the Packers in Week 5.

Johnson not sticking to Bagent as the starter for today isn’t a surprise with the Williams return possible, however it’s extremely intriguing that even with the caution of Williams being out, he is not devoting to Bagent.

It’s prematurely for must-wins throughout the NFL routine season in Week 6, however it’s clear that the Bears need to beat the Falcons this upcoming weekend, particularly if they lack Michael Penix Jr.

For this upcoming match, any of the Bears’ 3 quarterbacks might end up being the starter. This is a scenario to carefully monitor today, as the Bagent may be benched for Keenum, and not just Williams.
