BETA REVEALS 2027 SINCRO TRIALS MODELS

Beta has its roots in the trials world and the Sincro models are among the most sought after bikes in that category. For 2027, there are a number of changes including the introduction of electric start for the 250 and 300. Here’s the official press release from Beta:

Following the debut of the all-new design in 2026, the new Sincro models have redefined the sport of trial by offering a model range that exploits the RideAbility trademark, offering a connection between the rider and the motorcycle that is not found with other brands. The introduction of the 2027 model builds on the design introduced last season and includes more choices for the rider.

The main new feature within the Sincro lineup, in addition to specific refinements to engine and chassis components, is the introduction of Electric Start installed on the 250 and 300 models, including the SS. The electric starter provides a quick start before each section, reducing fatigue and hassle. A system that has been on the Enduro models since 2013 has now found its way into the trial lineup. The Sincro 200 model arrives with the kickstart; however, an E-Start kit is available as an accessory.

In addition to the new E-Start system, the 300 has benefited from targeted upgrades to improve the model’s power delivery, with a new cylinder head with modified combustion chamber geometry and a new silencer, both designed to optimize performance and RideAbility. For all models, an updated ECU has been installed with new mapping and a higher level of durability. This, along with a new graphics package that combines black and red in a modern and distinctive style, enhances the bike’s lines and accentuates its character.

Lastly, an all-new Long Range Kit is available as an accessory item designed exclusively for the Sincro chassis. This new seat/tank combination increases the fuel tank capacity by just over a gallon, making the total fuel capacity 1.8 gallons. It provides the ideal configuration for riders who want to tackle longer rides with greater comfort, convenience, and range.

List of 2027 Updates Includes:
Electric Start: The new E-Start system integrates a compact starter motor, a dedicated battery, a relay, and a handlebar control, and is featured on a specific version of the model, standard on the 250, 300, and 300 SS models. Optional on the 200, not available for the 125 cc model.
New combustion chamber and spark plug: the new spark plug (CMR7H) is smaller and delivers improved performance compared to the previous model. The engine head and combustion chamber have been redesigned to improve the overall power delivery. The sparkplug’s more compact design has allowed for a new vertical mounting position on the engine head: by operating vertically rather than at a slight angle, the internal flow within the new combustion chamber is more efficient, which benefits the engine’s smooth operation. The motorcycle thus offers a more precise response to throttle control, improving control and riding enjoyment, with smoother operation in all riding conditions.
Updated ECU: The adoption of the new control unit internals improves the system’s overall reliability, ensuring more effective engine management and greater operational consistency even under the most demanding conditions.
300 Silencer: The Sincro 300 and 300 SS feature a new exhaust system with a more linear internal structure, designed to optimize exhaust gas flow and improve engine response. This design results in increased performance while maintaining progressive power delivery and low noise levels. Both versions, the 300 and 300 SS, share the same silencer, but the 300 SS stands out with a dedicated exhaust head pipe, designed to promote smoother power delivery and fully embody the “Super Smooth” philosophy that defines the model.
Suspension Settings: As part of ongoing development aimed at perfecting the connection between bike and rider, Beta’s engineers have refined the suspension settings. In true Beta-fashion, the team of engineers continues to fine-tune the front and rear suspension internal settings, seeking out perfection.
New color and graphics: The 2027 Sincro models feature a new black-and-red graphics package, designed to convey an exclusive look, one that sets them apart from all other brands.

Main features of the Sincro models:

Frame and Suspension: One of the Sincro’s defining features is its hydroformed single-beam aluminum frame with an integrated fuel cell. A technical feature that has always characterized Beta’s Trial lineup since 1990 and plays a decisive role in ensuring compactness, lightness, and rideability. The design immediately stands out for its balance, the slenderness of its structure (thanks in part to the load-bearing engine), and the quality of its dynamic response—characteristics that translate into precise, intuitive, and effortless handling in all riding conditions. Another benefit of this design is an incredibly tight turning radius.
The front fork and rear shock play a fundamental role in defining the Sincro’s handling. The suspension system was designed to offer the best balance between sensitivity, support, and traction, ensuring a consistently predictable response to the rider’s inputs. The R16V front fork with reduced-spacing fork tubes (-10 mm) ensures precision and control of the front end, while the rear shock continues with a very lightweight aluminum body and internal settings that promote traction and a progressive response from the rear end.
Engine and Cooling System: The Sincro’s 200, 250, and 300 engines feature a direct cylinder intake and a mass distribution system designed to centralize weight, ensuring that, regardless of engine size, a quick and linear response starts at low RPMs while maintaining effective power delivery across the entire power band. This feature, combined with the innovations described above, the lightweight alloy cases, and a reliable, well-integrated wiring harness, defines the entire character of the new Sincro models.

All of this is supported by a fully integrated cooling system, free of external cooling lines, which contributes to the compactness and clean lines of the layout. The radiator, equipped with a quick-release fill system that facilitates access to the fill cap and improves guarding against impacts, works in synergy with a high-efficiency water pump (with a closed impeller) to ensure consistent engine temperatures under all operating conditions. A cooling fan keeps the engine at the proper temperature during those hot days.
Clutch and Transmission: The gear ratios of the six-speed gearbox and the primary gears have been designed to optimize engine power delivery across the entire operating range, always ensuring the most suitable gear ratio for the demands of modern trial riding. A distinctive feature is the oil-bathed multi-disc diaphragm clutch, a clutch system derived from Beta’s racing experience that delivers a particularly light, progressive, and adjustable feel. The ability to adjust the preload to three different positions also allows you to customize the lever response according to the rider’s preferences, helping to maximize sensitivity and control in the most technical situations.
