I have a better half [the actress Anita Dobson]grandchildren and a great deal of astrophysics I wish to do, so I’m believing possibly 50 years suffices.”

He’s not, nevertheless, dismissing other methods to bring Queen’s music into big common areas.”We do wish to do something relatively innovative,” May stated.”Not as ABBA did, however along those lines … Last year I went to the Sphere, my juices began streaming and I designed an entire Queen program. I believe an immersive experience is still on the cards and it might dominate time and area, however presently you can’t make it without AI and I have major misgivings about that … Data centers are a huge evil and need to be battled. “

In September 2025, May informed Wanderer that he was just tired with life on the roadway, though he wasn’t rather all set at that time to permanently rule it out, as he’s now done. “I’ve had 50 years of touring and there’s a part of me that believes it’s enough,” he stated. “I do not like the concept that you awaken in your hotel space and you’re caught. I had a couple of experiences just recently where things occurred at home with my household and I might not go home. It got under my skin and I simply believed, ‘I’m unsure if I desire this any longer.’ I seem like I’ve quit my liberty a lot of times. My sensation at the minute is I do not desire to visit. I still wish to play programs. I still wish to innovate.”

In January of this year, May informed the Daily Mail that he didn’t wish to cross the Atlantic for programs since “America is an unsafe location at the minute.” “It’s extremely unfortunate since I seem like Queen matured in America and we like it, however it’s not what it was,” he stated. “Everyone is hesitating about going there at the minute.”

There are likewise a series of archival Queen jobs in the pipeline, beginning with the brand-new Queen performance movie Queen BudapestIt was recorded on July 27, 1986, when Queen ended up being the very first significant rock band to play a program behind the Iron Curtain.

Naturally, it’s likewise rather possible that May will have a change of mind. If so, he’ll be far from the last rock star to introduce a trip after declaring to be done
