Chelsea fans are unhappy with the performance of Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella and are demanding the club to sell the star players.
Chelsea continue to rebuild their squad with in and outs. Chelsea have a very young squad, with players working hard to win a spot on Mauricio Pochettino team. Some players have caught Chelsea fans attention with their poor performance on the pitch. Chelsea fans are demanding the sale of these two star players;
Raheem Sterling
Chelsea completed the signing of the 28yrs old England International from Manchester City on deal worth £58m. Raheem Sterling was Chelsea’s last season joint topscorer with new Arsenal player Kai Havertz on 9 goals each. Sterling have struggled settling in Chelsea despite successful spell with Manchester and Liverpool, and has more than a 100 premier league under his name. Apart from Thiago Silva, Sterling is the most experienced player on this Chelsea young squad. Most of Chelsea fans think Sterling is worn out and have nothing to offer and should give way to young energetic players. Sterling seems to have lost confidence and composure Infront of goal hence missing simple chances which upset Chelsea fans. Sterling seems to be out of pace and dribbling skills, which were the description of his game few years back. Some Saudi Arabia teams have showed interest to sign him.
Marc Cucurella
Cucurella joined Chelsea last summer from Brighton in a deal worth €65m.Cucurella replaced Marcos Alonso who left to join Laliga Champions Barcelona.Cucurella was fantastic on his debut season under then Graham Potter.When Potter moved to Chelsea as the Head coach he sanctioned the move of the Spaniard Left Back. Cucurella have been promising but he lacks consistency. Some times he looks shaky and vanarable which upset most of Chelsea loyals. With the rise of Ian Maatsen and Lewis Hall, Chelsea fans it’s time for Cucurella to leave. PMN sports media, understands that Newcastle are interested and are willing to bid for the Spanish Left Back.
