ESPN commentators Joe Buck and Troy Aikman called out the officiating in the 2nd half of Monday night’s video game in between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams.
The Bills routed the Rams 14-13 midway through the 3rd quarter at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. The visitors had 2nd-and-21 near midfield when Josh Allen attempted to strike Dalton Kincaid for a possible 15-yard gain.
Allen’s ball never ever had a possibility as Rams protective back Quentin Lake held his target down with 2 hands. No flags were tossed on the play, much to the awe of Buck, Aikman and ESPN guidelines expert Russell Yurk.
Aikman: “I can see why was looking.
Yurk: “Yeah, Troy, I concur with you. To me, that’s plainly a nasty.”
Dollar: “I indicate, that is a huge miss on not tossing a flag there.”
Yurk: “That must be protective pass disturbance, which is a respectable portion of backyards.”
Aikman: “You stated it, Joe. A substantial non-call.”
Guidelines expert Russell Yurk: “Yeah, Troy, I agree with you. To me, that’s clearly a foul.”
Joe Buck: “I mean, that is a massive miss.”
Yurk: “That should be defensive pass interference, which is a pretty good chunk of yards.”
Troy Aikman: “You said it, Joe. A huge non-call.” https://t.co/Gy0Y4FjYoo

A protective pass disturbance call would have offered the Bills an automated initially down in Rams’ area. Buffalo would have been a brief die from establishing a possible consent basket.
Rather, Allen tossed another incompletion on 3rd down, requiring the Bills to punt.
