‘My motivation’

Kombat informed Daily Trust what influenced him to establish the structure. “A health center costs can indicate offering the little household possessions. For a trainee, an unsettled school charge can threaten years of education, while for a little trader an absence of capital can require an appealing service to close down.

“These are a few of the spaces that influenced the production of the Velocity Humanitarian Foundation to alleviate the troubles my neighborhood is going through, in regards to education, health care, and empowerment. I feel there is a requirement for me to return to my neighborhood, so that is the essence of developing the structure.”

He included that when he discovered that college student run the risk of leaving of school since of absence of payment of costs, he understood that he should step in.

“When I was notified about the problem, I took a seat and began believing: we are experiencing insecurity in the nation, and here are 2,200 youths from GSU and another 412 from FUK having it difficult. I felt that I can’t simply avert, so I needed to step in.

The structure will sponsor their whole tuition from the beginning up until their graduation, so that we will be tracking their efficiency, we will understand what they are doing, and provide them support after graduation,” he discussed.

Whenever I see a demand for aid on social networks, I will tag them; they will go to the health center, make queries on the claims. If it is discovered to be authentic, they will settle the expenses or spend for the surgical treatments or treatments as the case might be

“We prioritise clients with particular diseases, like cancer, orthopaedic-related condition, which are mainly expensive, particularly for the less-privileged.

“But for payment of school charges, what we typically do is, for instance, if a trainee has about 2 or 3 weeks to examinations, and he could not pay, you will understand that absolutely this individual does not have any ways of paying his school costs, so we spend for them,” he described.

Aliyu Kombat acknowledged that there is pressure passing the variety of individuals trooping to VHF to look for aid, prompting the federal government to double its efforts in assisting individuals at the grassroots.

He likewise got in touch with other rich people and individuals in basic not to wait up until they have surplus before they can start to assist those in requirement.

“One does not need to be abundant to assist somebody in requirement. If you have N1000 and you can spare N200 or N300 to assist somebody, that is how, when you get more cash, for example, if you have N100 million, you can spare N20 million or N30 million to assist others. If you state, I just have N10,000, how can I assist somebody? You’ll never ever do it when you have more. You need to begin with the little you have.”

Kombat stated the structure is not just about offering cash: “It has to do with reacting to individuals’s requirements, whether in health care, education, income or other locations of humanitarian assistance.”
