How Larsa Pippen’s children made her ‘remove’ herself from Michael Jordan’s son

NBA legend Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, once opened up about how she was ‘so embarrassed’ after her breakup with Marcus Jordan.

When Larsa Pippen decided to date Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, following a divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen, the news surprised the NBA community.

Many didn’t understand the dynamic, but that didn’t seem to impact Pippen and Jordan as they openly dated. However, the couple broke up after about a year and a half.

Back in 2025, Larsa opened up about the ’embarrassing’ split and revealed how her children played a key role in it.

Pippen made the revelation during the season 7 premiere of the popular show, ‘The Real Housewives of Miami.

“I don’t want to, like, have to address it. It’s so embarrassing. You know what’s really crazy? When I was dating Marcus, my kids were like, ‘Stop getting back together and breaking up and just get off the ride.’

“That’s when I was like, ‘I need to get away from the situation. My kids think that it’s not good for me.’ You know?” Larsa told her mother, per Bravo TV.

She added, “We went from really being in love, getting along, to me seeing a side of him that didn’t align with who I am as a person.

“I fought everyone to be with this guy and then it was not a good situation for me and my family. So, I had to remove myself from it.”

The breakup even made Larsa promise herself to never date another person associated with the game of basketball.

But she went back on her word, as she’s currently in a relationship with former basketball player Jeff Coby.
