In their defeat by the Seahawks, did the Browns utilize their run game correctly?
Coach Kevin Stefanski has been questioned this week after the Browns offense amassed 155 running yards on 40 carries in the team’s defeat to the Seahawks on Sunday. Stefanski chose to pass on a game-changing third and 3 just before the two-minute warning.
The Browns almost doubled Seattle’s run defense, which came into the game rated sixth in the league in terms of fewest rushing yards per game (87.2). With one touchdown and 55 yards on 14 carries (3.9 yards per carry), Kareem Hunt led the way.
P.J. Walker’s interception to close the crucial series altered the game’s course, allowing Seattle’s offense to take advantage and win with a touchdown. The Browns ran for 25 yards on six carries during the series before the interception.
