John Terry close to being Al Shabab head coach as Potter declines Lyon approach.
Ex Chelsea boss Graham Potter has declined an opportunity to replace Laurent Blanc as the next Lyon head coach. The former blues coach is taking his break since his sacking after only joining the club in the middle of the season but the expectations from Chelsea didn’t come to what the project was believed to be after being strongly funded. Lyon are winless in the Ligue one having two defeats and one draw. This poor start has led the management to be in huge doubts whether Laurent Blanc will turn over the results and that’s why they are in search of a new boss. They approached Potter but he politely rejected the chance.
Other speculating news are from Saudi Club Al Shabab. The club has been linked with former Chelsea legend John Terry to be the next head coach. John Terry has been undergoing his coach learning classes as well as being the assistant to Dean Smith at Aston Villa since 2018 and also being at Leicester as an assistant coach. John Terry has also worked at Chelsea in managing the academy as his dream is to return to Chelsea as a coach after his 22 year success with the club. According to Skysport John Terry has already agreed verbally on the deal. All the best in your new chapter.
