Manchester United host fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, with both managers under pressure.
United boss Michael Carrick and Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi have both been under increasing pressure in recent weeks, with both sides having made disastrous starts to the new Premier League season.
The Red Devils currently sit 12th in the top flight table, while the Lilywhites occupy 20th place and are one of only three sides without a win so far this term.
Ahead of Saturday’s huge encounter at Old Trafford, however, it is now emerging that United are one of three clubs chasing a Premier League star.
As reported by Football Insider, Man United and Arsenal have been joined by Liverpool in the race to land Fulham youngster Josh King.
The report claims that all three Premier League sides have shown interest in the 19-year-old, who has enjoyed a bright start to the new campaign despite Fulham’s struggles.

King is a product of the Cottagers’ youth system and has already made more than 50 appearances for the west London side across all competitions, scoring four goals and registering three assists.
The report suggests that Liverpool are considering a move to sign the teenager in January, although it remains to be seen whether or not Fulham would be willing to sell the player.
King has been in particularly impressive form this season, scoring twice in five games for a Fulham side that are yet to win in the league.
The attacking midfielder’s current contract at Craven Cottage is set to run until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, but it remains to be seen whether or not the west London side can keep hold of the player beyond the mid-season transfer window in January.
