Liverpool face Chelsea test in Romeo Lavia pursuit.
Chelsea have launched a bid to hijack Liverpool target Romeo Lavia from Southampton in their plans in midfield rebuild. Chelsea bid is worth £48M including add ons. It’s the closest bid to what Southampton are asking for and up to now the championship side are yet to say no to the bid after rejecting three bids from Liverpool including their latest one which was worth £45M.
Chelsea have been long time admirers of the player and have been following and pressing for the player. Joe Shields a member in Chelsea technical director could be the key to Romeo Lavia move to Chelsea. Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs after the formal bids was presented despite Southampton holding up for £50M Chelsea might be pushed to reach the agreement or the bid may be rejected too. Players contract and personal terms won’t be an issue.
Caicedo deal is still ongoing and Chelsea hope to finalise the deal before Liverpool game and make the two players, Caicedo and Lavia present in the squad although they won’t feature. Chelsea are also in talks with Leeds over the signing of Tyler Adams.
