A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) full-time nationwide serviceman (NSF) has actually passed away after he was discovered unconscious at the foot of a structure at Basic Military Training School 3.
In a declaration published on Facebook at about 3.45 pm on Thursday (Oct 8), the Ministry of Defence stated the event occurred at about 1.22 pm.
MINDEF stated the NSF was instantly communicated to the Pulau Tekong Medical Centre for first aid, and consequently left through helicopter to Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
According to MINDEF, the NSF got to SGH at 2.05 pm and was noticable dead at 2.27 pm.
It included that the serviceman was not associated with any training at the time of the event.
“MINDEF and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.”
Examinations into the event are continuous, MINDEF stated.
