The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has actually formally launched the Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Advisory Committee list ahead of the 2027 basic elections.
The list includes popular Islamic scholars, politicians and public authorities from the state.
The list was launched by the Kano State APC chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, according Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s representative, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Guv Abba Kabir Yusuf will chair the council and his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo will work as vice chairman.

Amongst those called are the instant previous chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Sheikh Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, the Commandant-General of Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, Sheikh Ali Dan Abba, a long-term commissioner at the Kano State Shariah Commission and Sheikh Nazifi Bichi, a popular Islamic scholar.
Popular political leaders on the list consist of previous guvs Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Senator Kabiru Gaya, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau. Others are Deputy Senate President, Barau I Jibrin, the member representing Bichi Federal Constituecy, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, Senator AbdulRahman Kawu Sumaila, Senator Rufai Sani Hanga, to name a few.
