MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP)– Rapper Rick Ross was apprehended in Miami Beach early Thursday and charged with battery associated to a domestic violence allegation, authorities stated.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP)– Rapper Rick Ross was apprehended in Miami Beach early Thursday and charged with battery associated to a domestic violence allegation, authorities stated.
Ross, whose legal name is William Roberts II, deals with a felony charge of battery by strangulation, along with a misdemeanor battery charge, according to online court records.
A lawyer for Ross, 50, stated in a declaration that Ross is being wrongfully implicated by an ex-girlfriend whose real inspirations are uncertain.
“The ex did not even submit an authorities report up until a month after the declared event apparently occurred,” defense lawyer Steve Sadow stated in the declaration. “Mr. Roberts is innocent and has actually pled innocent to the charges. He respectfully demands that his pals, fans and the public not prejudge the circumstance and permit the judicial procedure to run its course.”
Prison records revealed that Ross was being held Thursday early morning on $5,000 bail. An arraignment is set up for Oct. 22.
