Scott – a previous stunt entertainer who directed Stallone in 2023’s Expend4bles – informed People: “Man, I’ve been so blessed to have actually dealt with a great deal of the greats. I indicate, all the leading 5 that, at the time, we had– Bruce Willis, Arnold, Sly, Van Damme. That was the period of the 80s and the 90s. And I dealt with all of them, however as a director, directing Sly to me was a when in a life time chance. The guy is such a renowned force in action filmmaking and a respected filmmaker in his own.

“So to be able to lastly be on the opposite of the cam with Sly, due to the fact that I dealt with him on a film called The Specialist, and I needed to do a battle versus him. He, naturally, kicks my butt, and tosses me out the window and all sort of madness.

“And that was, I don’t even know what year that was. It was so long ago, but I was so blown away. He’s so physically capable. He was 77, I think, when I directed him in Expendables, and I was always still impressed by what he was still capable of.”

Scott likewise has fond memories of dealing with Jackie Chan on 2023’s Hidden Strike.

The director hailed Jackie, 72, as a “legend” of the motion picture company.

Scott shared: “When I was on Hidden Strike with him, and there was this gag that he needed to do pushing back from a helicopter to the top of the bus and he needed to, what we call a package, flip upside down, and spin through the back window and land within. Which’s a truly physical, strong relocation, even to do it 20 years old.

“And so, Jackie was determined that he needed to do it. And I wanted to put the camera, and completely feature that it’s him, not the stunt double. He does it. He’s on take 10, he can’t get it. He’s on take 12, he can’t get it. And I’m thinking, ‘Man, Jackie, just let your stunt double do it.’ And he’s like, ‘No, I can do this.’”
