Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald doesn’t sugarcoat Sam Darnold’s performance vs. Broncos

The Seattle Seahawks remain in crisis mode following another error-filled Sam Darnold efficiency in defeat. Darnold is 1-3 as a starter given that returning from his opening day glute injury, and the context of his interceptions are difficult to neglect and regularly game-damaging. His 2 interceptions in Seattle’s 17-14 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos were dreadful; the very first choice remained in game-tying basket variety, while the 2nd choice resulted in Denver’s 8-yard game-winning basket drive.

Darnold has actually tossed 7 interceptions in 4 video games, which would be great if he was tossing 16 goal passes, however alas he’s just tossed 7 TDs.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald is generally not one to be overtly important of his gamers, specifically not his beginning quarterback. This was among those uncommon times where that didn’t occur.

“It wasn’t an efficiency that sufficed to win the video game,” Macdonald stated, “you understand, by our group, however the quarterback leads the group and I wager you Sam will be the very first one to inform you that. We enjoy him. It’s simply that’s what it is.

“We need to look after the ball. Sam understands that, he informed the group that. We’ve got to look after the ball,” Macdonald likewise stated in the post-game interview.

“Just got greedy,” Darnold stated of his 2nd interception.

“That play particularly, I must have simply ascertained to. Cage ran a truly great path right under the sticks, and I seem like he would have captured it and got the very first down. I’ve simply got to continue to go through my developments and trust it.

“It’s B.S. for me to keep turning the ball over,” Darnold likewise included. “It’s unfair for our defense. It’s unfair for our unique groups. It’s not far, truly, to our whole group.

Sam.. The offense as a whole has actually been bad, however Darnold’s play has actually not sufficed and it does begin with him. Even winning a Super Bowl isn’t sufficient to make this much grace when the errors are crippling.
