Sophie Cunningham begs for ‘respect’ over Atlanta Dream’s WNBA Finals problem

Sophie Cunningham drops a harsh decision on the Atlanta Dream’s arena mess ahead of the 2026 WNBA Finals.

For the very first time in 13 years, the Atlanta Dream will play in the WNBA Finals as Angel Reese and co. swept the New York Liberty in the semifinals.

The Dream dealt with an uncommon obstruction when the State Farm Arena was currently reserved for the group’s Games 3 and 4 dates.

This has actually caused Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham going on a prolonged tirade calling out the WNBA’s preparation.

Sophie Cunningham states no NBA group would ever deal with the Atlanta Dream’s ordeal

Throughout the current episode of her ‘No Hesitation’ podcast, Cunningham attended to the uncommon scenario surrounding the Dream.

“Atlanta’s been kicking a __. Like the city needs to be occurring them like no other and I’m not simply stating for the playoffs. I’m stating the routine season they’ve been kicking a __. They’ve been offering out State Farm Arena,” Cunningham stated.

She wasn’t done, as the Fever guard required regard for the Dream while comparing the WNBA to the NBA.

“This should not resemble a five-day thing of, ‘Oh, what do we do? A huge scramble mode.’ Can you appreciate us a bit? Regard Atlanta, they’ve been freaking kicking a __ all year. Regard the Valkyries, they’ve been kicking a __.

“If this was an NBA group, this would not have actually even come out on social networks. Regard us. Everybody’s video game is leveling up. Y’ all got to do the exact same,” she included.

Cunningham raged at how the news made the rounds on social networks. She thinks if this occurred with an NBA group, the news would have been buried rapidly.

For what it’s worth, the scenario has actually been fixed with the Dream moving Game 3 a day previously and moving the start time of Game 4 to play their home video game of the WNBA Finals at the State Farm Arena.
