Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has responded on the current struggles Kai Havertz is facing as the signing is currently not working as it was thought to be.

The German international was signed from Chelsea in this summer transfer window at a fee of £65M. The attacker has went on to feature more than seven games including six appearances in the Premier league this season but the player hasn’t registered any goal or assist in the Premier league so far. Arsenal fans including rival fans have now started criticising the player on his work rate on the field and also terming his transfer fee as a waste of money compared to Trossard who was only bought for less than £30M and has better stats on goal contribution this season than Havertz who have played more minutes.

Mikel Arteta has responded to this critics by saying that “Yes. He needs to play within the team because the amount of time that he’s played with these forward players is three or four times, and we’re going to have to carry on doing that. We certainly try to give him as much support and confidence as we possibly can because that’s going to help him for sure.”

Arteta has promised support for his players as that is what will push him to achieving better results in the competitions they are playing this season and his selection will include every signing as they were signed on purpose.
